If you're looking to get into anal play or if you're already into it but you're looking for another toy to keep in your arsenal, the Tantus Ripple is a great item to have within in arms reach. It's undulating and gently rippled contours are soft and yielding but not so much that the body can't feel it's presence. Once liberal amounts of lube is applied (I recommend the JO water based anal Lube personally) this friendly little plug will slide right in. The small ripples increase in diameter from something about the size of your pinky right up to something a little bigger than your thumb (about 1 inch). A very generous flange base ensures that this plug is staying put and won't slip in. Plus, it's flat and wide so you can sit right down onto it as well. It's just shy of 5" in length so it's not going to feel like it's punching you in the guts even when inserted fully.
Excellent as a first time plug, the Ripple is a great stay in toy during intercourse and because the base is wide it resonates and moves a bit during vaginal thrusting so the ripple will move around in your butt during sex providing dual stimulation. It's also a great starter for anal prepping before moving onto to larger plugs like the ripple large (which has the same form factor but an increase in size of about 50%). The base flare also means that this is harness compatible but it's really a toy designed to be placed in and left there. As a primer toy, the Ripple base is a bit big to be worn under tight clothing but the toy itself is comfortable enough to walk around with it in and the motion of walking wriggles it about inside you which feels wonderful and really gets you used to anal play. I'd love to see this same shape with a base like the Little Flirt or Neo (two other great plugs from Tantus).
The one I have is in "midnight purple, a shiny deep tone which is really sexy but it's also available in black. The silicone itself has a bit of a glossier finish which makes for easier cleaning and nice slippery surface that doesn't create any drag on the way in or out. A nice consideration especially for first time users. Made from the same wonderful 100% silicone that Tantus uses for almost all its products, the Ripple is Eco-friendly, hypoallergenic, Boilable (essential for easy cleaning) and even dishwasher safe. Which means that you can always be sure that after a good clean and few sprays of toy cleaner, you can put it away knowing that'll it'll be fresh and ready the next time you reach for it.
And when considering how comfortable and fun this little plug is that will be very often.
