At first glance the Je Joue Mimi Soft doesn't seem like it's going to knock anyone's socks off. It's small simple and simple in shape, almost too simple. In fact, in these days of bells and whistles, the simplicity makes the Mimi something of an abnormality. For instance, it doesn't light up, it doesn't rotate or vibrate to whatever song you have playing. In fact, the Mimi doesn't do much at all except vibrate. Is that enough? Indubitably. The soft matte finish of the Mimi is immediately pleasant to touch, almost welcoming you to caress it. 
It differs from the regular Mimi in only this way, that it is slightly more soft to touch, the other being a bit more firm. But that doesn't in any noticeable way diminish the wonderful rumble that lies quietly under its surface. For fans of clitoral vibration who want power but not a high frequency buzz, the Mimi is the go to recommended toy. It has a delightfully low vibration and that's really about it. There are two buttons at the base of its soft elliptical curve and really that's about all the detail there is. The elegance of it lies in that though, hit the + button to increase the vibration and the - button to lower it. The frequency doesn't speed up so when the amplitude increases in power it doesn't get higher pitched, just stronger which is ideal for women who have sensitive clitorises but who like a bit more ooompf as then get closer to orgasm. It's small and palm shaped like a river stone and comes in four soft 100% silicone finishes. It's magnetic charged (which I adore) so there are no slots or plug ins. The motor although quite powerful for this form factor is almost imperceptibly quiet. Perfect when you need discreet vibration or just don't want the distraction of something buzzing away while you're trying to relax. Size wise it's only about 3 1/4" long and almost 2" wide. Because of that great quiet rumble and discreet form factor, it's also a great toy to get your toy chest started for couples. Sliding it easily into the palm of the hand means that you can directly stimulate the clitoris during intercourse or hold it while performing oral sex on either partner. There is no travel pouch or case though supplied with which may be my only grumble with the Mimi as a product of this quality should have something nice to take it around with you in when traveling.
There are different pulse settings as well. What's lovely about these is that they don't just seem to be set in place for novelty but the rhythms are intense and vary quite a bit allowing you to really find one that works best for you. Alternately you can cycle through them and switch it up from session to session allowing this very little toy to do a surprising number of things. A higher end product in the Je Joue line but not cost prohibitive, the Mimi is a great luxury vibe for those looking to start into quality products. It's an easy part of a collection to build on but as a stand alone vibe it holds its own for sure.
