Some things don't need changing because they get it right the first time. Not changing all the goodness is just what the Liv 2 by Lelo is about. Same shape, size and build quality but with a lot more oompf and improved tech. The Liv is Lelo's Midsize offering from their wonderful Femme & Homme line of more affordable pleasure objects. Not wanting to mess with a good thing the style of vibe has stayed the same. Smooth medical grade silicone is still in place over the curved and slightly flared end. Even at 6.9" from tip to tip, the Liv still packs a hell of a punch. Lelo boasts twice the already powerful previous model.
Lelo on the whole whispers sophistication but the Liv is understated in a lovely Goldilocks way. It is neither too small nor too big but fits nicely in the niche between a external clitoral vibe and a large more penetrative vibe. For that purpose along with the curve of the solid shaft it's both great on its own and partnered with another toy. Used internally it reaches just deep enough to press into the g-spot although if you want to really plumb your depths this may not get to those deeper spots. The great thing about the solid plastic covered in velvety silicone is that this doesn't bend back when you really want that extra bit of pressure close to a g-spot climax but the matte silicone cushions it just enough that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. Pair it with a clitoral toy and you've got yourself a delicious blended orgasm that should curl your toes.
Another choice upgrade to the Liv is that it's now conveniently water proof. Its predecessor was only splash proof and so romps in the tub were not a possibility. It's a little change but it makes the world of difference not only in terms of cleaning but the possibilities for play and that is a thoughtful touch that more companies should start incorporating.
It also speaks to the level of quality that Lelo produces because that tight seal on the toy lends some confidence in terms of bacteria sneaking in and making home. Water tight means less nooks and crannies to have to clean when playtime is over.
The controls have also been upgraded allowing you to scroll forward and back through the settings and modes. The intensity of the vibration is controlled through the up and down arrows of the cross hairs control and the left and right control it's modes. There are the familiar pulses and rollercoasters to keep the pleasure rolling but always a little different. Eight modes in total cover a good range of fun for each use and that's an easy and exciting way to keep things interesting. I've always enjoyed the Lelo controls because they're easy to sort through and there's never that moment when you're getting close to cumming and then your finger changes the speed or rhythm and you have to scroll through all the settings to get back where you were. With individual back and forth controls you can just step back to where you were and get on with enjoying your orgasm.
Another great feature on the Liv2 is that the controls are lockable. That means when you're throwing this little gem in your travel bag you don't have to worry about the potential embarrassment of it buzzing away in the line at the airport or on the bus on the way out.

As with all the Lelo Femme & Homme toys, the Liv2 comes in an elegant gift box which steps up the presentation game a bit when giving it as gift to a lover or just as a gift to yourself. The Liv 2 also comes with a charger and soft pouch for storage which is important when placing it with other silicone toys in your toys chest (silicone toys touching can transfer color or mar the finish).
In short this is a great toy for solo or lover play. It's a mid size for those who don't need a lot of volume but prefer a good amount of power into a small form factor. It's easy enough to control without line of sight and one handed which means that your other hand is free to get up to any amount of fun trouble. It's also slim enough to slip down in-between two people during lovemaking in the missionary position or for your partner to use internally while performing cunnilingus or in combination with anal play. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who requires a larger sized toy (the Lelo Mona is what you're looking for there) or for anal use (the Lelo Billy is the one you want there).
But otherwise this is a gem worth putting in the toy chest for any toy connoisseurs that appreciate form and function at a price that denotes a quality that will last.
